Posture Matters- How the Position of Your Rib Cage and Pelvis Affects Core Activation
Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 6pm
Discover how skeletal alignment influences muscular performance in this dynamic workshop led by physical therapist Josh Borgmeyer. Participants will explore how the positioning of the rib cage and pelvis directly impacts core activation and function. Drawing on the principle that form dictates function, this session will delve into how ideal alignment enhances muscle contractility, while misalignment alters length-tension relationships, leading to muscular imbalances—some muscles become shortened and overactive, while others are lengthened and inhibited. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding tri-planar alignment and its role in achieving optimal posture and performance.
Perfect for movement professionals, clinicians, and anyone looking to improve functional strength through better alignment.
The evening will begin with a 30-minute Mat class led by Pilates Lab lead trainer, Katie Dalzell.

Eating with Wisdom- Reconnecting to What You Know
Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 at 6pm
Have you ever felt like you know how to eat well, but something gets in the way? You’re not alone. In a world full of expert opinions, conflicting nutrition advice, and wellness trends, it can feel hard to hear your own voice—the one that knows what truly nourishes you.
In this 45-minute conversation-style class, we’ll explore the concept of eating with wisdom: what it means to trust yourself, how cultural conditioning and diet noise can create a lot of nutrition “noise” and why intentional, attuned eating might feel like a homecoming.
Through guided discussion and reflection, we’ll explore questions like: What gets in the way of trusting ourselves around food? Why do we doubt our choices even when we know what’s good for us? And what might it look and feel like to eat with more awareness, curiosity, and self-compassion?
This isn’t a nutrition lecture—it’s an invitation to pause, notice, and reconnect. You’ll leave with practical tools, gentle mindset shifts, and maybe even a little more trust in your own body’s wisdom.
The evening begins with a 30-minute all levels Mat class by Pilates Lab trainer Amanda Hager.
